Animal Jam is a beautifully illustrated educational game where children can become their favorite animal and explore the world of Jamaa, an exotic world filled with a number of different lands and ecosystems. As they explore, players—known as Jammers—can play fun games, watch educational videos, and meet other children from around the world who share their love for animals.
Animal Jam's goal is to provide a fun, exciting, and safe environment for children to play online, while at the same time inspiring them to explore and protect the natural world outside their doors. At Animal Jam HQ, we have teams of developers dedicated to creating and improving unique play opportunities for Jammers. We also have teams of highly-trained moderators that constantly review in-game activity to assure that children remain safe while playing online.
Animal Jam is filled with a number of opportunities for children to become engrossed in creativity and learning:
- Jammers are encouraged to show off their unique personalities by dressing up and customizing their animals by using different clothes, accessories, colors, and patterns. Jammers can also decorate their dens—a special home space given to every Jammer—with hundreds of different den items.
- As they explore the world of Jamaa, Jammers come across dozens of unique plants and animals that inhabit the different lands and ecosystems. Each plant and animal displays a photo and interesting facts when clicked, and Jammers can store them in their Journey Book and can reference them at their leisure.
- To help cultivate science learning and interaction among children, Animal Jam has also partnered with two real-world scientists: Dr. Brady Barr, a herpetologist who loves all animals—especially crocodiles—and Dr. Tierney Thys, a marine biologist who studies the mysteries of the oceans. Both Brady and Tierney have in-game locations that are filled with activities, experiments, and facts, as well as video answers to questions asked by Jammers.
Animal Jam HQ hopes to foster a love for learning and discovery in every child, and we hope to see your child in Jamaa soon.
